Did you know that one of the most renowned hedge funds in the country hired a trading coach? It's true.

One might think that the professionals at SAC Capital Advisors had "arrived" as traders and wouldn't need a coach.

Yet that wasn't the attitude of Steve Cohen, who heads the fund. He hired psychiatrist Ari Kiev -- who previously worked with Olympic athletes -- to coach his traders. The New York Times reported Kiev's passing last year:

"His work with athletes caught the attention of Steven A. Cohen, the founder of the hedge fund SAC Capital Advisors, who hired Dr. Kiev in the early 1990s to coach his traders..."
New York Times, Dec. 2009

And there's more to this story than the fact that an acclaimed hedge fund manager hired a coach for an already-successful team of traders. Cohen actually employed Kiev for years, because Kiev's coaching got results.

Perhaps you can benefit from coaching. If you believe so, the Beacon Learning Group (a member of EWI's Educational Affiliate Program) has an appealing offer:

---------------

Announcing a UNIQUE WARRANTY from Beacon Learning Group's Personal Coaching Program for Elliott Wave Traders

If you have not recovered the cost of your tuition in trading by the time your coaching program has ended, Beacon will extend the program until you do -- FREE!

-----------------

This Unique Warranty reflects Beacon's commitment to your trading success.

All Beacon Learning Group coaches have passed an EWI-administered test for knowledge of the Elliott Wave Principle. Moreover, each Beacon coach has professionally traded for at least 10 years.

Beacon matches you with a coach who has experience in the market you trade. You enjoy one-on-one guidance. Shawn Fitzpatrick is one of Beacon's coaches, and he gives an example of how two trading minds can be better than one:

"Tom had struggled for five years trying to understand the Wave Principle. After going through our coaching program he began to be consistently successful for the first time. He was taking fewer trades and spending less time doing it. That is what is most rewarding as a coach, taking someone that has struggled, and help them replace fear with confidence."

Coaching works. Obviously, individuals who want to excel at trading must apply themselves: and Beacon does indeed hold students accountable with regular assignments and benchmarks.

Learn the Why, What and How of Elliott Wave Analysis

Financial media use news and economic events to explain market moves. Steer clear of this misguided approach. Take part in the Elliott Wave Crash Course to learn what really moves the markets.

The Elliott Wave Principle is a detailed description of how financial markets behave. The description reveals that mass psychology swings from pessimism to optimism and back in a natural sequence, creating specific Elliott wave patterns in price movements. Each pattern has implications regarding the position of the market within its overall progression, past, present and future. The purpose of Elliott Wave International’s market-oriented publications is to outline the progress of markets in terms of the Wave Principle and to educate interested parties in the successful application of the Wave Principle. While a course of conduct regarding investments can be formulated from such application of the Wave Principle, at no time will Elliott Wave International make specific recommendations for any specific person, and at no time may a reader, caller or viewer be justified in inferring that any such advice is intended. Investing carries risk of losses, and trading futures or options is especially risky because these instruments are highly leveraged, and traders can lose more than their initial margin funds. Information provided by Elliott Wave International is expressed in good faith, but it is not guaranteed. The market service that never makes mistakes does not exist. Long-term success trading or investing in the markets demands recognition of the fact that error and uncertainty are part of any effort to assess future probabilities. Please ask your broker or your advisor to explain all risks to you before making any trading and investing decisions.
