If analysis of financial markets was a stage, then all the "fundamental analysis" players would be doing improv: They react to one unexpected external prompt after another, all the while trying to string together a cohesive story -- often to no avail.
Practitioners of Elliott wave analysis, on the other side, would be doing real theater: They memorize script lines (i.e., Elliott wave patterns) and anticipate how the scenes on stage should unfold.
And right now, EWI's chief commodity analyst and Futures Junctures Service editor Jeffrey Kennedy shows you that the "stage" for commodities is set for one of the most dramatic "performances" in recent memory.
The entire plotline is revealed in the third and final installment of Jeffrey's powerful "Unedited" video series. The hour-long video titled "Forecasting" shows you the three tools to use if you want to forecast commodities long-term:
Forecasting Tool #1: The Elliott wave pattern underway in commodities over the last century. Jeffrey shows you a powerful Elliott wave-labeled chart of commodities since 1897 and says: "There is a very definable, discernable overall trend in commodities over the last 100 years." (See still frame below, minus Elliott labels.)
Where are we now in this Elliott wave pattern? In the "Forecasting" video, Jeffrey marks a big, "You Are Here" 'X' to show where commodities are within this time cycle, and why that position suggests that the next 20 years will be marked by "sizable moves up and down."
Forecasting Tool #2: The overall trend in the U.S. dollar. Jeffrey reveals that the relationship between the dollar and commodities is inverse, historically. (See still frame below). Thus, a weak dollar portends a strong commodity market, and vice-a-versa.
Forecasting Tool #3: Price charts of commodities on several time frames. In the new "Forecasting" video, Jeffrey starts with the big, monthly picture of TEN major commodity markets and works down with correlating weekly and daily charts.
The bottom line: You get Elliott wave-labeled commodity price charts going into the year 2030. According to them, the next phase in commodities will be a 20-year "trader's dream."
