Robert Prechter began his professional career in 1975 as a Technical Market Specialist with the Merrill Lynch Market Analysis Department in New York. He has been publishing The Elliott Wave Theorist since 1979 and is the president of Elliott Wave International. He is also founder of the Socionomics Institute, which studies social mood and its impact on social action, including the stock market and the economy.
Murray Gunn Europe, Global
Murray Gunn is Head of Global Research at Elliott Wave International. He worked as a fund manager in global bonds, currencies and stocks, including long posts at Standard Life Investments and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. He then joined HSBC Bank as Head of Technical Analysis. Murray is the author of Trading Regime Analysis (Wiley, 2009) and a contributor to Socionomic Studies of Society and Culture (Socionomics Institute Press, 2017). In April 2018, Murray took over the helm of The European Short Term Update. Brian Whitmer is a pure technical analyst. He is proficient in socionomics, putting him in tune with events in the region. Brian describes himself as self-educated in Austrian economics, so he is well versed in the misunderstandings of mainstream theories. He also contributes the European stock section of our monthly Global Market Perspective. He is a well-traveled speaker and appears frequently as a guest on financial television.

Mark Galasiewski (gala-SHEV-ski) lived in Japan for most of the 1990s. A graduate of Middlebury College (Vermont, USA) in East Asian Studies, he is fluent in Japanese and conversant in Mandarin Chinese. In his monthly commentaries, Mark not only discovers opportunities in Asian-Pacific markets, but also shows how cultural and political events relate to financial trends in the region. He has traveled to many of the countries he writes about, including Japan, China, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia, Egypt and Jordan.

Based in Bulgaria, Ivelin Zhelev, CEWA, has been involved in the financial markets since 2011. He is a co-founder of EWM Interactive, a company that provides weekly wave outlooks for the major forex pairs and major stock indexes and a contributor to two books published by Academic Publishing House "Tsenov" - Svishtov, "Capital Optimization" and "Debt Management." He currently forecasts global interest rates for EWI.

Jordan Kotick has worked on four Wall Street trading floors as Trader, Economist, Head of Cross Asset Strategy and Technical Analyst. He was the first person to have ever been President of both the CMT Association in New York and the Canadian Society of Technical Analysts (CSTA). Jordan was also the first to have a self-titled segment, shown internationally, on CNBC for 5 years, "Kotick: Tick by Tick." He now provides intraday analysis and forecasts for our Interest Rates Pro Service.
Al Graham Global
Al Graham provides intraday commentary about European markets to institutional subscribers and contributes intraday stocks and currency coverage for Australia, Taiwan and Korea. He first joined EWI in 1992 as an intraday overnight analyst and created EWI's Global Energy Outlook, which he edited until 1999.

Nady Laymoud, CEWA-M, has been providing intensive Elliott wave analysis of multiple markets since 2009. He is a co-founder of MawgatFX, the first Elliott wave daily currencies newsletter for the Middle East in Arabic. Prior to joining EWI in 2017, Nady was the Head Elliott Wave Analyst at ElliottWaveForex. Ignat Borisenko has been publishing Elliott wave analysis since 2004 for several financial companies and has created many highly popular Russian-language resources on the Wave Principle. Matt Lampert
Matt Lampert is the director of research at the Socionomics Institute. He is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and has spoken about socionomic theory throughout the U.S. and Europe. He is a board member of the Socionomics Foundation and editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine The Socionomist. His research has been supported by the National Academy of Sciences with funds from the National Science Foundation, and his work has been featured by USA Today, CNBC, the Associated Press and other popular news and scholarly publications.
Areas of research include electoral decision-making, financial markets and popular culture.
Chuck Thompson
Chuck Thompson, senior analyst for The Socionomist, has spent more than a quarter-century studying and writing about personal finance and cultural trends. He also served as a writer and editor in the radio and newspaper industries for eight years prior to making the jump to finance. Chuck joined The Socionomist in September 2010.
Areas of interest include international affairs, war, movies, television, music, science, religion and human behavior.

Robert Folsom has covered politics, popular culture, economics and the financial markets for more than 25 years, via print, radio, video and digital content. Alyssa Hayden
Alyssa Hayden is the executive director of the Socionomics Institute. She holds a master’s degree in applied cultural anthropology from Oregon State University where she studied immigration, language and education. She has served as a writer and editor with Elliott Wave International and the Socionomics Institute since 2008.
